- Sundays
- Episcopal 101
- Episcopal 101 looks at the nature
of being an Episcopalian, why
scripture and tradition are
important – but not more
important than reason. Why we
are liturgical, and what that
means. What light the history of
the church can shed on today’s
church: why issues are openly
discussed in understanding where
God is in the mix.
- Questions about our Church? Join
together with other curious,
doubting, questioning, or just
plain interested people following
our 10:00 service fellowship.

- Wednesdays
- The Journey of Quadratos
- Quadratos is a new name for the ancient four-fold journey of spirit and transformation. The journey described by Quadratos is universal, sequential, and cyclical. It is recognized by every major religious faith and school of psychology and forms the very heart of Christian belief and practice. At its most universal, this pattern is found in our experience of the four seasons and their cycle. Within Christianity, Quadratos provides a deeper understanding of Jesus the Christ and a new foundation for affirming early Christianity’ s choice of four gospels and the ancient— now restored—gospel reading sequence for Sunday worship. The four progressive paths of Quadratos correspond to the four gospels and the four great questions of the spiritual life. Using this lens and perspective, each gospel’s question and practice is revealed within a particular landscape and its human experience.
- On September 22, we’ll begin an 18 session exploration of Quadratos, using Alexander Shaia’s book, The Hidden Power of the Gospels. Additional information is available at Quadratos.com. Please let me know if you’d like to attend so that I can order enough copies of the book.
And—if you’ve got questions—please call Canon Linda at 408.296.8383.

- Education For
Ministry (EFM)
- 6:30 - 9 pm
- Education for Ministry,
affectionately known as EfM, is a
program of theological education-
at-a-distance of the School of
Theology of the University of the
South. Students sign up one year
at a time for this four-year
program. It covers the basics of a
theological education in the Old
and New Testaments, church
history, liturgy, and theology.
Students meet regularly, usually
once a week, in seminars under
the guidance of trained mentors.
- The Education for Ministry
(EFM) program provides a
Christian education, which
supports our faith and prepares us
to express our faith in day-to-day
events. It holds before us that the
foundation for bringing Christ to
the world lies in a church
empowered by an active,
theologically articulate laity.
- Class is held Wednesday Nights
from 6:30 – 9 pm starting
September 8, 2010. For more
