In the Buildings and Grounds team, we volunteer to help out with the upkeep of St. Mark's property and permanent structures. There are many on-going activities such as landscaping, gardening, painting, and changing light bulbs. We also assist the vestry in planning for building renovation and large scale grounds projects. The Rose Guild works to make sure that the Rose Garden at St. Mark’s continues to be a place of beauty for St. Mark’s and the community. They replace bushes that have died or faded due to age and weather conditions. They also tend the garden on a regular basis, working in pairs to make sure the dead roses are clipped, bushes are shaped, and grounds under the plants are kept neat. The Rose Guild meets on Tuesday mornings from 9-12. Each Guild Member comes once a month to deadhead the roses. We would love to have more people join us! Contact Helene Bresette at (408) 246-0740.
The Friday Paint Club usually meets on Fridays to restore St. Mark’s facilities. Besides sanding, scraping and painting, the Friday Paint Club patches holes and performs general minor repair of doors, windows and walls.
